facts on hallo       This book will give a lot of history, guidance and knowledge about the origination of Halloween.  It is always best to go to God Almighty, in the Lord Jesus Christ, on the convictions needed as to how you will celebrate Halloween this year.  The traditions of old and even today are littered with real human sacrifice, praying for the dead, hidding from dead spirits – most of which originated with the Druids and are entwined with satanism, witch-craft and the occult.  The Irish Catholics were amongs the first to celebrate Halloween in America.  Below is a small excerpt from this book.

“We hope Christians will take a closer look at involvement based on the following discussion.

“Not everything in life is clear cut and not everything has easy answers.  All things considered, however, we think the most prudent and wise decision for Halloween is abstinence.  Why?  Based on our discussion to date, we can see that Halloween symbolism and activities today, although technically removed from their ancient practices, nevertheless retain the underlying associations for which they were intended.

“Can we truly align ourselves innocently with something traditionally and currently involved with the occult and be certain we will never be affected in any possible manner?

“But if the purpose of the Christian life is to glorify God, is it really possible to glorify God by imitating, however innocently, what occultists do on their special day?  Should Christians be out on the occultist’s favorite day imitating the things that historically and today are traced to something evil or occult, including even costuming, trick or treating, and setting out displays of fruit?”  Taken from Pages 22-23

This book is a must read for everyone wanting an affordable, short and precise history on Halloween.  It very well may open your eyes, unless of course the killing of humans, spreading of their blood,  and the divination of watching a human body fall convulsing to the ground is what you approve of as a historical basis for your children’s fun day.  Reader, do your homework!

“Beloved, do not imitate evil but imitate good.”

3 John 11 - RSV

Hi Jeremy, Thank you for this read. We have not celebrated halloween for many years. My kids know that it is a time we spend as a family doing other things like going to a movie or going out to eat. I will be getting this book to have on hand when someone asks why we do not celebrate hallow.
